Program Director, Betty Irene Moore Nursing Initiative and Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing
Marybeth oversees the foundation’s Betty Irene Moore Nursing Initiative, a $160 million effort within the Patient Care Program to improve hospital patient safety and care transitions in Northern California. She also leads the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing and the Patient Care Program’s efforts in data/health care predictive analytics and health care teams.
Previously, Marybeth was an associate principal with McKinsey & Company, where she worked with nonprofit, media and financial services clients. While at McKinsey, she worked closely with foundations and nonprofit social services organizations. Marybeth also taught economics at the University of Chicago and worked as an economics researcher for the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C.
Marybeth earned a B.S. in economics from the College of William and Mary and a Ph.D. in economics with a focus on labor economics and econometrics from the University of Chicago.
