Program Fellow, Andes-Amazon Initiative

As a program fellow, Mark focuses on reducing the impact of agriculture systems on globally significant ecosystems. He provides strategic thinking and research to better target areas where market-based solutions can create optimal conservation outcomes.

Prior to joining the Moore Foundation, Mark worked for the International Finance Corporation, where he was a member of the Biodiversity and Agricultural Commodities Program team and worked on incorporating sustainability standards into global supply chains, often through multi-stakeholder initiatives. He also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala, focusing on community environmental management of protected areas.

Mark has a B.A. from Texas Christian University and an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. He speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
